JOB OPPORTUNITY: Community Artist, London Canal Museum
Out-going community artist required to work with the public on Saturday 10 August 2013 as we Celebrate ICE!
Fee £200 for the day inclusive of preparation time
Marking the culmination of the ICE 2013 project, the celebration day will involve music, art, ice science workshops, ice-cream making and activities for our visitors and will hopefully attract considerable media attention.
Can you create a work of art in a day, with public participation, drawing on ice and its properties? We would like you to create something which will engage, inspire and wow our visitors. It could be in ice, about ice or draw inspiration from our extraordinary 19th century ice wells at the museum. It will probably be ephemeral in the nature of ice, and could be recorded in process and completion.
In the first instance, please send a brief synopsis of your proposal (no more than 1 side of A4) to celia@canalmuseum.org.uk.
