The V&A is popular with families, with back-packs, trails and other self-directed resources offered daily. At weekends and during school holidays, families can participate in a vibrant programme of art, craft, design, performance and digital activities, reaching an annual audience of over 60,000.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Programme Manager, Performance, to join the Learning department and contribute to the delivery of the Families programme.
You will have experience of programming and managing the delivery of performance activities for families. You will be an experienced arts educator, able to build good working relationships with external project partners and colleagues and devise high quality programmes in response to the permanent collections and the temporary exhibition programme.
Supporting the Programme Manager for Families, you will be responsible for the daily management and administration of Pop-Up Performance, the V&A’s weekly and holiday performance programme for families, and for leading on community-focussed initiatives that aim to foster links with families in the local area via performance.
