The Green Party is recruiting a graduate for a short-term contract in the run up to the General Election (end June 2015). The Senior Policy & Communications Officer of the Green Party of England and Wales needs support on a number of day-to-day tasks and activities so as to enable him to concentrate on key policy briefings and big policy announcements. The Policy Assistant role will play a vital role in communicating the Green Party’s policies (which are set by members at our Spring and Autumn conferences and published here:http://policy.greenparty.org.uk/) to members of the public and Green Party members and supporting the Green Party’s policy work more generally.

The Green Party is recruiting a Senior Local Party Development Officer to develop our relationship with our local parties – systems and processes; training, management, guidance and information gathering which will help strengthen Green Party local and regional party structures.
This role will be ideally filled by someone knowledgeable about Local party functions, who has helped develop a local or regional party, and understands what it takes to operate an effective campaigning unit. Working with Directors and staff, this person will produce guidance information to help develop local parties. By using their own knowledge of party function this individual should bring their own ideas of how local parties should be supported and be able to adapt as they learn more about governance and regional nuance and variations. A successful applicant will be a strategic thinker who can develop processes for reporting on the statuses of local parties and determine how best to communicate with different types of parties in various regions. This role is short term, but with good electoral success and maintenance of membership this role may be extended. The main aim before the general elections is to determine the status and function of all local parties and communicate what actions these parties could take to improve their functionality. In addition the role is expected to deliver guidance information and help communication on the build up to the elections.

The Green Party is recruiting a Development Officer to assist our successful fundraising function by facilitating deeper relationships with potential major donors, organisations, professions and industry. This person will manage and grow our affinity partnership schemes, help identify major donors and set up events which will facilitate discussion about the Green Party or sustainability, to help further build and extend relationships. As the general election draws closer there is an increasing demand for campaign support and coordinated activity across the country. This role will provide much needed admin support to the Campaigns Director and input into a number of project items. The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of the current political landscape and a good understanding of political campaigning. An individual who is focused on attention to detail in the delivery of work, is able to prioritise workloads and has some experience of independent working would be an ideal candidate.

We need to ensure that our messaging and the visual representation of the Green Party of England and Wales is consistent across the country. The Green Party is therefore recruiting an experienced person on a short-term contract in the run up to the General Election (end June 2015). The Election Publications Officer will put together templates for freeposts, leaflets, green leafs and other publications. Succesful applicant will put together a bank of photos and logos to use in our publications and work with the Senior Policy & Communications Officer to make our messaging consistent.
