Shoot Experience are an experiential photographic organisation producing events, projects, competitions and exhibitions with Tate Modern, Museum of London, Southbank Center, gallery@OXO, Plan International, The UN and more... Our offices are based in Shoreditch and we operate a lot around East London. Our annual events include Shoot Shoreditch, Shoot Spitalfields and Shoot London at Tate Modern.
Shoot Experience is an innovative company breaking the boundaries of participatory and interactive activities based around photography. The core team is small and dynamic, covering a lot of ground with tight deadlines.
Candidates should have at least two year's LONDON experience with a press book of at least 12 profile clippings and a list of genuine relationships with at least 20 known publications or communication channels in LONDON.

You will be responsible for publicising a range of our services ensuring steady and relevant coverage for regular public events, exhibitions, competitions and projects.
With limited budget you will be able to maximize the companies exposure and profile through standard press and media channels with the ability to think creatively and outside the box to get our messages to our target audiences.
You will also be publicising our Treasure Map product, photo library and photographers.
You will be the sole person responsible for press (and in some ways "marketing") and therefore the role comes with a lot of responsibility but will be extremely rewarding for the right candidate! You will be working in a fun and innovative environment with a great team and will be an integral and vital addition to the company.
We are not looking for candidates that think that their job is just a job. We are passionate about Shoot Experience and expect you to share that passion and genuinely care about where you work. This will be evident in your performance, motivation and can-do attitude. This is a high-pressure role and you will need to seamlessly juggle projects and deadlines.
You will have interns and assistants to help with your work load during busy periods.
QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Pro-active attitude - we want you to show us your work-flow weekly without needing to be asked.
• Time management - we want to see evidence of deadlines adhered to and planned for.
• Organisational skills - you will need to show outstanding skills in this department whether it be through excel spreadsheets or Spider diagrams pasted all over the walls.
• Motivation and passion - we love what we do and that shows - we expect the same from you
• Telephone skills - you need to be on the phone 25% of your day and therefore will enjoy being on the phone, have charm and charisma and a confident phone manner.
• An interest in culture and the arts is essential - you need to enjoy and already be going to gallery openings, creative events and art/photography exhibitions outside of work as this will inform and benefit your work.
• You will need excellent writing skills as you will be required to write the monthly newsletter and press releases.
• Speed - you need to be able to learn fast, work fast and be thorough.
• Adaptable - you will be able to adapt quickly to a fast-moving environment and not be caught out when a plan changes at the last minute!
There will be an element of website editing involved with the job - adding new and changing content through the ADMIN pages of our website. Experience in this would be helpful.
You will have opportunities to grow which include attending workshops and courses. Global travel is potentially part of the job as we produce frequent events abroad.
