Indiegogo campaign: help fund Wild Worlds - Dark Sides theatre experience

Support the Artful Badger as they present their biggest physical theatre production to date at the VAULT Festival 2015.

About the Show:

Wild Worlds: Dark Sides is a physical theatre show comprised of a curated collection of acts exploring the animal instinct of the human condition.

Originally Wild Worlds was conceived as a one off for VAULT Festival 2014. This year the Badgers realised that they wanted to keep the format of curating several unique acts within one show and use it to present different themes or concepts they are interested in. Usually the Artful Badger is known for their light hearted, sexy, playful exuberance, but this year they wanted to see what would happen if the mischievous, wild nature was used to explore the darker sides of humanity. More details of this year here: Wild Worlds: Dark Sides 2015

Wider Program:
Alongside the show itself Artful Badger are also running an amazing supporting program of events including Wild Wall Dancing & Mindfulness in Movement workshops.

What makes this special:

Aedin Walsh has traveled from Sweden to develop her physical theatre/aerial act with a unique net structure that moves within the space. No one else in the world has this so it really is a new progression in aerial performance. A brand new piece has been developed for the last act of the show with Follow the Faun featuring the amazing projections by Jack Weir & wall dancing aerial performance with Zoë Cobb. Again a unique and spectacular development for all the artists. Most importantly the audience takes part in this show and will leave feeling amazing, invigorated and alive!

Budget:

Every bit of the budget covers the production of the show: multiple projections, a unique one off aerial rigging net requiring new 10 rigging points to be fitted in the venue. Aerial rigging, dancing. eight performers, rehearsal space, costumes, props, lighting, tech operators, flyers, posters, the PR needed to sell all the tickets, projectors, designers… To achieve the production standard needs to match the ideas, the work the vision, the meaning behind what this is all about.
