Fashion Swims for Seahorses
Three of London's most fashionable humans are getting wet all in aid of every mermaid's favourite form of transport-the trusty seahorse. They'll collectively be swimming a distance of 10km to raise money for The Seahorse Trust.
Designer Ada Zanditon is famous for her stunning ethical fashion label, Nik Thakkar is a brand consultant and pop culture expert working with some of the biggest names in fashion today, and Kurt Williams is part of the genius that is Junky Styling.
The Seahorse Trust is a charitable organisation for research into Seahorses and the environment worldwide, education about Seahorses, marine conservation and the environment worldwide, and the enjoyment of Seahorses and the natural world.
The Seahorse Trust was set up in 1999 as an umbrella organisation to preserve and conserve the natural world, especially the marine environment using Seahorses as their flagship species. They work in partnership with many organisations and people from all over the world and it is this unique partnership that allows us to benefit from the natural world so well.
Seahorses are a very unique fish species that occupy the coastal areas of most of the world and it is these very areas that are most under threat, being vulnerable to human and natural interference they suffer badly and by working together we can make a difference to their future and the future of these fragile eco-systems.
