Artists' Long Format Film - Call for applications

The deadline for proposals is: 5pm, Wednesday 29 August 2012
Portland Green Cultural Projects, in partnership with Film London's FLAMIN and the Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre is re-opening its call for projects for innovative long form experimental works from artist film-makers.
Artists' Long Format Film (ALFF) is an innovative new partnership looking to develop and produce one ambitious single screen moving image work that uses performance as its central driver.
The commission offers development and production support for projects with total budgets of up to £400,000.
Projects can be in any genre, including creative documentary, drama, artists' film, cinematic essay or animation, but critically, must use performance as their central driver. By this we mean projects which have some form of performance at the forefront of their conception and which use an original approach to explore, subvert, develop, engage with or challenge the form and its histories.
Proposals will be assessed by a panel of selectors and external assessors, including representatives from the partner organizations: Dieter Schneider (ZDF/ARTE); Laurent Vinauger (CCN de Franche-Comté à Belfort); and Producer David Wilkinson (Guerilla Films); Portland Green, PORTLAND GREEN TM; Stephanie Rosenthal, Chief Curator, Hayward Gallery; Maggie Ellis, Head of Production and Talent Development, Film London.
All partners are committed to supporting the widest possible reach for the film in terms of exhibition and distribution.
The deadline for proposals is: 5pm, Wednesday 29 August 2012
