We sent Gemma Hall to see Moulettes in action this weekend- here's what she thought of them alongside some of her great photographs.

The eclectic quintet that is Moulettes, elevated the stage of Islington Assembly Hall on Saturday with their edgy stringed symphonies and bassoon bass reverbs.

With a packed out hall, they had us all tapping our feet and wanting more within the first few bars, before drawing us in with their sincere harmonies and masterful finger work along the necks of the violin and cello.

With their third album Constellations scheduled for release next spring, this gig was to wave goodbye to their previous album The Bear's Revenge, and they did it in style.
