Courvoisier Pedal Powered Punch Machine at The Thames Festival

During London's biggest free outdoor arts festival, the space beneath Hungerford Bridge will be transformed into a punch-powered swing, providing a mix of vintage music, classic Courvoisier punch and 1920s flapping.

The Courvoisier Pedal Powered Punch Machine, created by art collective Circus Kinetica, will be mixing up Courvoisier's signature punch of Courvoisier VS, aromatic Angostura bitters, lemonade, oranges and lemons, and inviting festival goers to leap aboard and provide the pedal power to mix the punch. As well as being the ultimate festival bar, the machine will act as a stage for a series of interactive performances, entertaining the festival-goers as they pedal for their punch.

Next door on the Electro Swing Speakeasy stage, Courvoisier will also be collaborating with electro swing maestros White Mink, where festival fanatics can catch an impressive line-up of live bands, music and cabaret performances on the Saturday, including DJ sets from Nick Hollywood, capturing the remixed twisted beats of 21st century electro swing with the vintage sounds of speakeasy jazz.

1920s flappers will be offering complimentary samples of Courvoisier Punch each day between 3pm and 8pm, and passers-by can also be in with the chance to win enough Courvoisier to host their own punch party if they can guess how far the machine has been pedalled to date.

The Thames festival runs from 10 - 11 September 2011 - for further information please visit http://www.thamesfestival.org.
