Pure Evil gets dark on us with some tearful Elizabeth Taylors that examine everthing Warhol about our society's obsession with fame. And art. And fame.
4 August- 8 September
Andy Warhol once said 'Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art. Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.'
An email from a village in China specialising in the reproduction of western artwork by churning out countless Rembrandts and Warhols inspired Pure Evil's series of work The Last Good Time. Dedicated to the muse and the creative relationship, as well as the dark side of classic Hollywood glamour, the show depicts ghostly tear-filled eyes of Elizabeth Taylor,Li Tobler, Sylvette Davide and Brigitte Bardot.
