A host of contemporary artists, film makers and musicians create work inspired by the cinematic master

A major new exhibition at Somerset House to celebrate one of the most influential film makers of all time. Artists including Sarah Lucas, Doug Aitken, Mat Colishaw and Gavin Turk are invited to respond to a film, scene, character or theme from Stanley Kubrick's archives.

From the War Room of Dr Strangelove to the murder weapon from A Clockwork Orange, the exhibition will provide a multi-disciplinary Kubrick experience. Artist Christiane Kubrick, the director's wife for 41 years, will also be painting a new piece especially for the show.
