Based on the famous Pinturas Negras (Black Paintings) of 18th century Spanish artist Francisco Goya, this award-winning movement drama is a powerful satire on superstition and fanaticism.
Eleven dancers and their life-size puppet doubles glide into Goya’s shadowy world to create a sensual, visual and sonic experience that unfolds like a ritual. An apt metaphor for our time in which the manipulative and powerful still dominate everyday life.
