It's a Knees up!
This week we're joined by the one and only Immodesty Blaize as our Guest Editor - the burlesque queen and champion of hourglass figures everywhere! We chatted to the star about taking burlesque from the stage to the silver screen- and everything in between. Read the interview here. See Immodesty in action at Hoxton Hall in celebration of their 150th birthday.

And Immodesty's recommendations for London life? Calm Down Dear is a festival of feminist theatre featuring the likes of Bridget Christie and Sara Pascoe at Camden People's Theatre. Check out some vintage cabaret and jazz in The New Babylon at Village Underground, and citing Kenneth Anger's 'Hollywood Babylon' as a formative influence, Nina Fowler's art is inspired by 'the scalding reality behind the glittering facade of America's dream factory' at the Cob Gallery.

We've oodles of good stuff up for grabs- fancy a pair of tickets to People Show 121: The Detective Show? It's inspired by the 11 days Agatha Christie went missing in 1926. We've a pair of tickets to be won for 'Naïve Dance Masterclass' at Soho Theatre, as well as gig guestlist for Waxahatchee at Scala. Due to popular demand, Punchdrunk have released concession tickets for their show The Drowned Man and discover the facts behind the legend Vivien Leigh at 'The Faces of Vivien' at the BFI as part of their upcoming season on the actress (more on her next week).

On the blog we catch up with Marcella Puppini, mayoress of Camden ahead of her new musical showcase 'The Mayoress Presents'. We talk to Sally Taylor, executive director of the Culture Capital Exchange about this year's Inside Out Festival. We hear about the Roustabouts latest venture, The Katzenjammer Club, and we meet Rumpus' little sister, The Travelling Tavern.

We've even more kink with the Double R Club's all nude 2014 calendar, and TALC's 'adult design' magazine. And there's yet more nude shennanigans in the best of the rest with Improbable's Beauty and the Beast and The Erotic Film Society at The Horse Hospital. Fancy something more cerebral? Gender issues of a different nature are up for discussion at The Other Club with VV Brown and Katie Melua discussing the role of women in the music industry, and 4th Estate's literary salon sees fashion and feminism pitted against each other. So however X-rated you want your week, we've got something sexy with your name on it. As always - Bottoms Up! RRxx
