For one night only, Wet Sounds joins forces with queer arts festival And What?, providing a surreal world of (sub)aquatic sound and performance, both above and below the surface.
The water surface becomes a threshold between different worlds and two entirely different experiences. Abstract electronica by Wet Sound's Joel Cahen is coupled by a distinctly queer programme by And What?
Together they create an unusual and immersive world of sound, visuals and performances including some of the best musicians and performers from the queer-glitterati; taking you on a fluid journey through fear to enlightenment. The pool is open to all, gender and sexuality is irrelevant, so come and dip your toes in our murky shark infested waters.
The Performers:
Joel Cahen - Wet Sounds founder
SDNA - projections & lights
J. Aria - providing sound & performance
Out to Swim - London's very own LGBTQIA+ Synchronised swimming troupe
Tommaso - Controtionist
Lasana Shabazz - performance artist
Julie Atlas Muz - international performance artist and mermaid
