Good Chance Theatre and Women for Refugee Women present a discussion why the voices of refugee women are so rarely heard, featuring the voices of those women themselves.
In the debate and discussion of the ongoing refugee crisis, there has been a notable absence of refugee women in dialogue. Why is this the case? This free discussion addresses this question, and seeks to bring these voices to the forefront of the debate, featuring Marchu Girma, grassroots coordinator for Women for Refugee Women; Rahela Hashim Sidiqi, former senior advisor to the Civil Service Commission in Afghanistan and chair of the London Refugee Women Forum (LRWF); and writer Jade Amoli-Jackson, secretary of the LRWF.
After the discussion, there will be a performance from Syrian kanun player Maya Youssef.
