Battle of Ideas is an annual weekend festival, initiated by the Institute of Ideas and organised and supported by a wide range of partners and sponsors, makes virtues of free-thinking and the lively exchanges of views.

Now in its eleventh year, the festival has over 90 sessions and expects over 2,000 delegates, as well as hundreds of insightful and thought-provoking speakers from across the globe, representing a wide range of disciplines and viewpoints.

This year's programme includes keynote debates such as, Why are young people joining ISIS? and Is technology limiting our humanity?, as well as session strands including Feminism and its discontents and War and Peace
