Google's Chade-Meng Tan shares practical ideas and skills to enhance emotional intelligence and wellbeing, at work and beyond.

In Search Inside Yourself, Meng distils emotional intelligence into a set of practical and proven tools and skills that anyone can learn and develop. The course is grounded in science and was created in collaboration with a Zen master, a CEO, and Stanford University scientist and Dan Goleman (the guy who literally wrote the book on Emotional Intelligence). It reveals how to calm your mind on demand, return to a natural state of happiness, deepen self-awareness, harness empathy and build highly productive collaborations based on trust and open communication.

One of Google's earliest engineers, Chade-Meng Tan (Meng) is now Google's head of personal growth. He has introduced the groundbreaking Search Inside Yourself project - a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence course which has proved very popular with Google employees and now also a bestselling book. Outside of Google, Meng is also founder of the Tan Teo Charitable Foundation, founding patron of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education and founding patron of the World Peace Festival.
