Using clown, spoken word & live art, Kill the Princess is a savagely playful subversion of beliefs & expectations, which peels off centuries of civilising layers to reveal the wild tales that make us.
A tumble of blonde hair in twists of glistening guts.
A billowing, foul-mouthed ball gown.
A late night rave in the belly of a wolf.
A bullet.
A noose.
A pair of blood-stained pyjamas.
In this playground of up-ended fantasies in which we are all complicit, a pair of idiots try to make sense of their stories. As identities blur and narratives collapse, there’s only one choice left: do we kill the princess or let her live?

Bait
‘Hilarious and seriously challenging’ Bait are Lecoq and LISPA trained clowns, poets and storytellers, Lizzy Shakespeare and Michelle Madsen. Bait make experimental theatre, asking what it means to be alive here and now. We tear apart and reimagine stories to grapple with how they shape our lives.
