Amber Massie-Blomfield

Personal Brief

Amber is an arts producer and a non-fiction writer.

She has worked for clients including the Albany, the Almeida, Battersea Arts Centre, Bristol Old Vic, Fuel Theatre, Universal Music Group, Ticketmaster, and is the UK Cultural Coordinator for Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council. She is the former executive director of Camden People’s Theatre, and received the Special Achievement Award for her work at the theatre at the Off West End Awards 2018. She is a fellow of Birkbeck University and the Royal Society of the Arts.

Her writing has been commissioned and published by Penned in the Margins, Standart, Unbound, Annexe Magazine, The Wrong Quarterly, The Independent, The Guardian, Exeunt, Open Democracy and New Internationalist. She is a columnist for The Stage. 20 Theatres to See Before You Die, her first book, is a literary exploration of the relationship between theatres and place in the UK, due for publication in May 2018. She received the 2016 Society of Authors’ Michael Meyer Award.
