Legendary folk singer Shirley Collins (MBE) performs from her extensive back catalogue of much loved classics, as well as recent songs from her 2016 comeback album Lodestar.

Widely hailed as one of the most significant artists behind the golden era of British folk-rock in the late 60s and early 70s, the singer has released seven albums to date and collaborations with numerous indie outfits including the Albion Country Band and the Ethcingham Steam Band.

In the 1980s, Shirley lost her singing voice – later diagnosed as a form of dysphonia – and withdrew from performing live. Though she was absent from the music scene for many years, her impact did not diminish, as she continued to be lauded by the likes of Graham Coxon, Jonny Greenwood, Stewart Lee and Angel Olsen.

The show will be a chance to witness Shirley’s powerful and austere vocals live in an intimate seated setting.
