Composers and producers Frost and Bjarnason provide their very own classical and electronic score for Andrei Tarkovsky’s sci-fi classic Solaris, with visuals by Brian Eno and Nick Robertson.

Having worked together previously on the score for Baltasar Kormákur's The Deep (2012), both Frost and Bjarnason join forces yet again for Solaris. Using their backgrounds in classical and electronic music, they have created a score which reflects the confusion felt by the film’s protagonist – haunted by a spectre of his dead wife and disorientated by the psychedelic spirals of the planet Sólaris.

Both film and music will be accompanied by Eno's video manipulations, which slowly morph the scenes, whilst Frost and Bjarnason’s score swirls, warm and pulsing like the planet’s atmosphere. Plucked strings mimic the pitter-patter of rain, warping into waves of guitar and the muted harmonies of prepared piano.

The performance is followed by a Q&A with Ben and Daníel who will be joined by Mat Schulz, the director of Unsound Festival.
