Synonymous with sex, drugs, and disco, Studio 54 was the epicenter of 70s hedonism, and now Matt Tyrnauer brings the real life story behind the one of the greatest clubs of all time to the big screen.

Dates and Times: Fri 15 at 18:30, Sat 16 at 20:30 and Sun 17 Jun at 18:30.

Documenting the volcanic expression of freedom in the late 70s, the heyday of NYC nightclub Studio 54 was a period in social history defined by sexual liberation and disco hedonism. Open for just 33 months from 1977, Studio 54 has refused to age, becoming as iconic for club culture in 2018 as it once was nearly 40 years ago. In this new documentary, Director Matt Tyrnauer gets access to never-before-seen footage from inside the nightclub, where photography was rare and often restricted by staff, putting viewers on the dancefloor for the first time. Tyrnauaer also excavates into the history of the space, exploring how it was built and run until its early end in the late 70s.
