Relax and let Impermanence take you deep into stranger and stranger domains of liberation, perversion and sensuality, with their Edinburgh Festival Fringe sensation, SEXBOX.
SEXBOX is a danced response to psychoanalyst Wilheim Reich’s belief that a healthy release of sexual energy is the crux of humanity’s salvation. Set to a score by pioneering German electronic musician and Reich disciple Ursula Bogner, you’ll be taken into domains of liberation, perversion and sensuality.
Bogner was a pioneer of electronic music who composed from her DIY studio in suburban Germany from the 1960s onwards. She became fascinated with the writings of Wilhelm Reich, a controversial feminist psychoanalyst for whom a healthy discharge of sexual energy was the crux of humanity’s salvation.
