#UNCENSORED

Our Guest Editor this week is Lidia Ravviso, an Italian writer, director and producer extraordinaire. She's also the Artistic Director of the highly topical UNCENSORED Festival (17-19 May), a three-day programme focusing on the crossover between art, pornography and activism.

In Lidia's Run-Riot Interview with writer Kerenza Evans she talks about taboo's, the politics of pleasure, the culture of consent - and what we can expect from a very hot looking weekend of festival fun, talks, screenings, parties, and workshops. You can expect the Premiere of Erika Lust's film Female Pleasure Circle, alongside work from 35 other artists, sex practitioners and activists. Haut! Haut! Haut! More here.

In our Magazine section, we have two call outs for creatives to show their work. First up is from Becky O'Brien's project 'Puppy' - she's on the look out for anyone whose work explores the themes of Rave and Club Culture (more here).

Calling all filmmakers: the London Short Film Festival deadline for submissions to the 2020 programme is approaching. More info here.

Finally, our favourite podcast of all time is here, The Independent Music Podcast issue #224. You can expect the usual blend of abstract noises coming from across the globe. There's Lebanese belly dance music punctuated with Polish breakcore, experimentation from the magnificent Amnesia Scanner, amongst pleasant indie rock, video game music, and abrasive noise.

Here's to wishing you a filthy week dear Players! Bottoms up! RR xx
