Take it to the next level

Our Guest Editors were once eloquently described as 'next level shit' by Grandmaster Flash. We're talking about the highly established British electronic duo Addictive TV (aka Graham Daniels and Mark Vidler) who, in a nutshell create music with a difference; it's music you can see.

From 3-5 June they're launching Splice Festival (part of Europe's AV Node network), a new audio visual performing arts festival for London. Expect the likes of Cassetteboy, Light Surgeons, Sculpture, Plaid, D-fuse - and a whole bunch more from UK and Europe.

In their Run Riot Interview Mark and Graham talk about the festival; their new project creating an international, digital super-group; artistic license, and why John Lennon got it right.

In our Magazine section we interview Cassetteboy about their blisteringly clever and hilarious video edits that infamously skewer politics and pop culture.

With the London International Festival of Theatre about to launch (1 June) writer Maddy Costa interviewed Argentinian Director Lola Arias in-between rehearsals for Minefield (Royal Court Theatre). They talk memory, ideology – and the tricky business of remaining neutral.

We also give a shout out for the Open Call for Artists from FutureFest (NESTA), plus a bright new app - Colordot - perfect for anyone working with colour palettes, developed by Devin Hunt (Hailpixel, Run Riot, Lyst, Founder Centric).

Here's to wishing you a top-drawer week dear Players! Bottoms up! RRxx
