#ECOFUTURES

Is it time to confront climate crisis, toxic identities and economics?

Is it possible to imagine a loving, liveable, cool future?

Our Guest Editor this week is Giulia Casalini (you might know her from the feminist project C*NTemporary), Co-Director of EcoFutures Festival (1-19 April). With a programme of performance, film, workshops and other radical interventions EcoFutures Festival opens space to challenge our existing ideas of ourselves, our planet and how we relate to each other.

In the run-up to the launch, Giulia tells Run-Riot's Season Butler about ecology and queer culture, love and resistance, survival and celebration. Read the interview here.

In our Magazine section we're highlighting two excellent podcasts for your pleasure. First up is the weekly Independent Music Podcast for adventurous music lovers bought to you by co-hosts Gareth Main and Anthony Chalmers. Listen to this weeks edition, here.

Comedian Rosie Wilby presents her Podcast The Breakup Monologues with a different guest each episode. In her latest edition Richard Herring and Caroline Mabey join her to discuss relationships, the transactional nature of love, the myth of 'the one', the mystery of why all lesbians in London get the 73 bus and so much more.

Lastly - campaign klaxon: Save The Social - one of London's best loved independent music venues needs financial support to fend off property developers. Give 'em the muscle buck they need, here.

Here's to wishing you a rousing week dear Players! Bottoms up! RR xx xx
