Do not go gentle into that good night...

You'll know our Guest Editor Jason Morell from decades of successful stage & screen appearances, but these days he's to be found behind the scenes of Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia, a week-long festival celebrating the 100th birthday of the famous poet. Why? You'll have to read our interview with him to find out, but here's a hint: Griff Rhys Jones is involved.

Jason's top cultural picks start with a top-notch jazz trio improvising to Shakespeare's characters and continue with an invitation to ditch your Halloween costume and indulge in macabre life drawing featuring tattooed models. Don't forget about Dylan Thomas though: the festival is taking over Fitzrovia between 20 and 26 of October: choose between NT transfers, Welsh sheep, a multi-media performance that follows Thomas to New York and much more.

Dylan Thomas is also in our Goodie Bag this week: we have a pair of tickets for Poetry Slam: England vs Wales to give away. For a good dancing night out look no further than the mayhem of Disco 54 at the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club and see if you can snatch the free tickets. In the mood for a matinee? Then how about tickets to The John Langan Band at The Globe? Finally - we offer up ten (!) pairs of tickets for The Other Art Fair: the artist-led alternative to Frieze.

Our Art of Mindfulness trainer Dr Tamara Russell will be speaking about science and mindfulness at two fascinating events in the coming weeks - Kinetica Art Fair and Hacking Happiness. Our next course starts on 30 Oct - we have a few places left, click here for more info and booking details.

Young dancers and established marketing experts should head to our Magazine, where Hofesh Shechter company is holding auditions for 8 dancers aged 18-25 and Hoxton Hall is after a new Marketing and Enterprise Manager with a flair for both the community and the commercial. Those with a passion for supporting great artists please go ahead and help The Cob Gallery publish Nina Fowler's Measuring Elvis.

Finally, here's what's hot in Best of the Rest: Artsadmin hosts an evening of mingling for performance artists and a gathering of artistic alter egos. ICA is off site questioning dance archiving, Globe is putting on a controversial tragedy, and Inside Out Festival takes academic research off campus. Plus: Malcolm Garrett, Folk Rising, and Tim Ellis.

That should keep you occupied till next week, right? Speak to you then! Bottoms up! RR xx
