The dazzling, Prohibition-era speakeasy fuelled by jazz, dancing and cocktails returns for a Valentine's extravaganza, within a grand, long-forgotten venue in East London.
Featuring two rooms of entertainment: the Ballroom will be hosted by cabaret cove Champagne Charlie, featuring dancing to live jazz from the Bubbly Boys and vintage DJs, Charleston routines from their chorus girls, plus dinner options and tables that can be reserved as usual.
Meanwhile in the intimate Cabaret Lounge there will be an extra bar, more seating (not reservable) live Manouche music in the early evening (the sound of 1920s Paris, the capital of love) from Hot Swing Bohème, then two cabaret shows hosted by flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur Marcel Lucont, featuring elegant acrobatics from duo Deux Ailes, and comic song from La Poule Plombée, the chanteuse tortured by her own genius (and the world’s failure to recognise it). Want to know is he or she is The One? Then let The Candlelight Club fortune tellers Foxglove and Lucius advise you.
