Wandsworth Arts Fringe announces sneak preview line-up
With the first tickets now on sale for the 2017 Wandsworth Arts Fringe, the festival reveals the first highlights from the borough’s month-long arts celebration for the eighth consecutive year.
Running from 5th to 21st May, theatre will be one of the cornerstone highlights for the festival. This year the world premiere of Compulsive Theatre’s Flutter, Justin Hooper’s moving love letter to high street bookies will be taking to the state, alongside Theatre N16’s The 49, which will tell the poignant, moving story of the lead up to the Orlando Gay Nightclub massacre in June 2016 when 49 people were murdered by a single gunman.
The Circus will be in town with cabaret and big top action- Hoops and Loops will showcase some of London’s freshest circus talent, transforming Tooting Tram and Social into a dreamscape of visual delights and dancers, hand balancers, acrobats and aerial artists. Plus Comedy, Music, Dance and Artist programmes, with the full line-up announced on 22nd March.

The 2017 programme is exceptional, with 140 events spread across 65 local venues. Wandsworth’s arts scene continues to flourish and the fringe is provides the perfect platform for these extraordinary talents to collaborate and shine.”
