In this new performance, the New York based artist and filmmaker draws on the history of the Lincoln Recovery Center in the South Bronx.
The centre was initiated in 1970 when the Young Lords, community health workers from the Health Revolutionary Unity Movement and local addicts occupied Lincoln Hostpital and announded a drug detox program.
Bliss brings together diverse elements that trace the history of the centre to the present day, allowing spheres of to be exposed, disrupted and reassembled.
